JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez, a model and actress from Sri Lanka, was born 11 August 1985. She has been in Indian films, mainly in Hindi and has also appeared in reality shows and music videos. After her debut in the film industry with Aladin in 2009, she has since then made a name for herself in the Hindi film industry. Fernandez was born in Bahrain to a multiracial Eurasian couple of Sri Lankan, Canadian and Malaysian descent. After graduating from the University of Sydney in mass communication, and then working in Sri Lanka as a television reporter, Fernandez ventured into the modeling world. Her name was Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 and was a representative of Sri Lanka in Miss Universe 2006. In December 2021, Fernandez is being investigated of the case of money laundering that involved around Rs200 crore. Fernandez was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th day of December 2021. On 22 December ED rejected Fernandez's request to downgrade the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued against her in the investigation that hinders her from traveling out of India
