She began playing golf from a young age and she became the youngest golfer to make it into the US Women's Open at the age of 12 in 2007. While she did not win however, in 2007, she took home the Aldila Junior Classic and became the second. She was the most youthful American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) athlete to take home the award, as well as winning the Westfield Junior PGA Championship as the youngest person to do this at the time.
